Tesla's Ranking in Axios Harris Poll 100 Reputation Rankings: Where They Excelled and Where They Took a Hit
As a Tesla enthusiast and long-time owner, I was disappointed to hear about the recent dip in the company's ranking according to the Axios Harris Poll 100 reputation rankings. While I believe that Tesla has made significant strides in the EV industry and has a bright future ahead, it's important to acknowledge areas where improvement can be made. In this article, I will break down the categories where Tesla excelled and where they took a hit in this year's rankings.
The Good
Despite the overall dip in ranking, Tesla was still highly ranked in several categories, including:
- Vision: Tesla placed 2nd in the Vision category, which measures how well a company is perceived to be a leader in its industry and how well it is adapting to change. This comes as no surprise to me, as Tesla has been at the forefront of the EV industry since its inception and continues to push boundaries with new technology and innovation.
- Products & Services: Tesla also ranked 2nd in the Products & Services category, which measures the quality of a company's products and services. As a Tesla owner, I can attest to the high quality and performance of their vehicles and the excellent customer service I've received from the company.
The Bad
Unfortunately, there were also several categories where Tesla took a hit in this year's rankings:
- Character: Tesla ranked 97th in the Character category, which measures how well a company is perceived to be ethical, transparent, and trustworthy. This is a concerning area for Tesla, as transparency and ethical behavior are crucial for building trust with customers and investors alike.
- Emotional Appeal: Tesla also ranked low in the Emotional Appeal category, coming in at 99th place. This category measures how well a company is perceived to be inspiring, caring, and empathetic. While Tesla has always been a company that inspires passion and excitement among its fans, it's possible that recent controversies and negative press have taken a toll on their emotional appeal.
Fun Fact
Did you know that Tesla's Model S was the first electric car to receive a Motor Trend Car of the Year award in 2013? This was a significant milestone for the EV industry and helped to establish Tesla as a major player in the automotive world.
Overall, while it's disappointing to see Tesla's ranking take a hit in this year's Axios Harris Poll 100 reputation rankings, I believe that the company still has a bright future ahead. By focusing on areas where improvement is needed, such as transparency and ethical behavior, and continuing to push boundaries with innovative technology and products, Tesla can continue to lead the way in the EV industry for years to come.
